A lifelong St. Paul resident, Dan has been a businessman and entrepreneur with experience in starting several businesses, with restaurants being his specialty. He is currently the owner/developer of Mac’s Fish and Chips restaurants. A long history of charitable involvement, including church leadership, Rotary, Kiwanis and Optimist Clubs among others, he was recognized for his civic contributions by being named Mr. Pat by the St. Paul St. Patrick’s Association in 2004. Dan’s motivation in helping found Second Stork was his specific interest in helping those people whose needs are not being met by government agencies or other social programs. Dan’s wife, Mary, a professional writer, has become involved in committee work for Second Stork, including assistance with grant writing.
