SECOND STORK AND LIFE LINK III TEAMING UP TO HELP NEW FAMILIES IN NEED

Non-profit’s newborn supplies delivered across Minnesota by air medical transport provider.

Saint Paul, MN (August 1, 2016) – Second Stork, a Minnesota non-profit, announced today that they have teamed up with Life Link III to have critical newborn care items delivered to hospitals in greater Minnesota. The non-profit currently networks with over 60 Minnesota hospitals to supply essential items for the care of a newborn for parents in need. Newborn items provided to hospital staff by Second Stork include portable playards with bassinet attachments, layettes of new clothing and receiving blankets, and bags of diapers, wet wipes and other related items.

“We have wonderful volunteers who travel the state helping Second Stork supply hospitals, but reaching all communities is still a challenge,” said Deborah O’Halloran, Second Stork’s co-founder and board chairperson. “We are very thankful to Life Link III for their generous support helping us serve our communities. With this partnership, we will be able to help many more hospitals and families with newborns who need immediate help.”

As an air medical transport company, Life Link III is in a unique position to help Second Stork extend its reach. “With several base operations located in greater Minnesota, we will be able to more easily help distribute the needed newborn care items Second Stork provides to hospitals since our staff members live and work in these areas,” said Liz Rammer, vice president of marketing for Life Link III. “Our clinicians and other staff members are frequently at these facilities so our partnership with Second Stork is a natural fit. We are delighted to be working together to help people in our communities.” Life Link III will begin distributing Second Stork’s critical newborn supplies through its Alexandria, Willmar and Hibbing, Minnesota base operations starting this week.
