Penny has over 26+ years of experience as an entrepreneur in the accounting & tax field. With a bachelor’s degree in business management/accounting, she has worked with a wide variety of clients in a wide range of industries. This has allowed her to be able to think quickly, take the initiative & be flexible in many situations.
Penny became familiar with Second Stork through one of the original co-founders, who is a long-time client & friend. Penny’s late husband, Steve Van Hale, became a delivery driver for Second Stork after retiring from Ramsey County. Penny (& Steve) believe that every person has a right to start life with all the necessities that are needed, even when the mother/parents aren’t able, for whatever reason, to provide for their newborn. As a delivery driver, Penny became even more aware of how crucial it is for Second Stork to be able to fill this need.
Penny resides in Stillwater. When not working, she is involved with her church, as well as working on some other volunteer options involving pancreatic cancer & kidney donation. Penny is honored to be part of Second Stork in this capacity, in honor of her late husband Steve.
