Rachael Stover-Haney

Rachael has been a perinatal social worker at the U of M Masonic Children’s Hospital for 24 years. She works with mothers to assess their strengths and address their challenges as they approach child-bearing.  She strives to ameliorate the effects of psychosocial and medical challenges while also assisting mothers to access long term supportive services where needed.  She supports mothers in creating healthy and nurturing parent-child relationships. And, she advocates for mothers and babies within the health care setting and in the community. She loves her job!

Rachael earned her BA degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota. Rachael and her family live in South Minneapolis.
